Last day, we took a short trip to Venezia by train. It took us to get there around 3.5 hours.

 Let’s go to Venezia!

I was sleeping at the train .After we arrived at Stazione di Santa Lucia in Venezia, I realized that “Why everyone is wearing the costume and mask?” Yes, it seemed like that the Carnival was starting! It was exciting to see the different color and type of costumes! At least, Andreas and I was so attempting to buy funny masks or something fun

In Venezia, there are no taxis, buses, or cars. Public transportation are only boats or Gondolas So we took a boat to go to Piazza San Marco where is a kind of central area. It was cool because the boat went through the main canal,”Canal Grande”, so that you really can see that there are so many canals. The city was really same as what I saw a movie, “Casanova” I felt like I was in old ages because of the city and many costumes, hehehe.

  

Then, it was good time for lunch It was Chinese Italian restaurant. It was alright.At least, they did not charge with a piece of bread,hahaha. Mr.Sugaro and Andreas ordered 1 litter of beer, hahaha

Then, we decided to go sightseeing except Mr.Sugaro. He had enough time at museum yesterday, so he wanted to walk around the city, instead. There were so many people at Pizza San Marco! This Plaza was very beautiful Napoleon also thought in 18 century “This place is the most beautiful in the world” when he conquered it.

First point was Basilica di S. Marco. It was built in 828 first. The church has 5 dorms on the roof like Mosque of Isram. We went inside, and you could see a lot of gold and precious stones According to my book, those were the things got from other places by crusades. After that, we were supposed to go up to Campanile, but as usual it had an abusive price, like 8 euros just for going up I don’t know why but a lot of things were like that in Italy. Especially, around the tourist area which is sucks. Instead of that, we went to Palazza Ducale. It was built in 9 century, and Gothic style.I like to see inside of old building, so this Palace was quite good condition even they got several fires.

After that, we kept walking in the city without looking at the map. We looked at the souvenirs and had some coffee breaks!

The second day, we already got bored with this city Andreas even wanted to go to another city! But we decided to see some places in Milan.

Well, Sanae-chan and I woke up on time, but boys could not wake up, hehehe. They kept drinking after we came back to the hotel last night, wow. Their room was smelling like so much alcohol 

Our first place for the second day was supposed to Duomo, because we couldn’t go up to the church yesterday. But…again, bad luck. The security guy left, and he closed the entrance I was thinking that there was no people so he decided to go back home and come back afternoon!! Italian style?!

Then, we went to Basiica di Santa Maria delle Grazie . This church is famous for ” The Last Supper” by Leonardo da Vinci. But guess what?? You have to make a reservation to see that painting two weeks in advance

So we kept walking to our next stop “Castello Sforzesco“!  I personally liked this castle, because there were a lot of exhibitions. Also, there was a sculpture of pieta by Michelangelo. This is his last sculpture, but he died before he could finish it.

Finally, it was time to go to Duomo, and we managed to go up by steps this time

Andreas went to toilets, but the lady did not close the gates at the restraunt, hahaha. We did not tell her that there was one more person inside!

Then, we walked on the fashion street, Via Montenapoleone and went to the train starion to buy the ticket. All of us had enough time already in Milan, so decided to go Venezia next day

After that, we went to Naviglio area. It was supposed to be many bars and night clubs around. BUT…there was nothing going on. People were just walking and doing nothing?! So we just had some drinks at the bar and prepared to leave this city!

After we came back from Japan, we took a short trip to Milan, Italy. Our companion this time were Mr.Surago and Sanae-chan. It was more fun that usual, because we have more people to travel! This ticket Helsinki-Milan was amazingly cheap! We were so lucky, yay!

Lately, the security check at Vantaa airport is so annoying, because even I separated with the liquid they want to check with my stuff. I hate it, because I have to repack everything after they finish checking my stuff. Of course, they checked my stuff this time, too.

The flight was 3.5 hours to get to Milan. It was good for Andreas and Mr.Sugaro. Why…Because they can have some drinks.

The airport was quite smaller than what I expected. That airport was supposed to be International airport, but it looked like a country side airport. The baggage claim was so small and there were so few people…

Then, we took an airport bus to the city center! After we got out the bus, all of us felt strange. Why…? Because there were no people on the street, no traffic, and So quiet!!! We thought like, ” Maybe, it is siesta time(nap time) for them. It should be more crowdy and people at night” It looked a ghost town.

After we checked in the hotel, it was time to have a lunch. There was a couple of restaurants around the hotel. We thought that the price was decent at that time. But guess what….??!! It was ridiculous….Because they charged 5 euro a piece of bread for each person PLUS 12 percent of service fee, oh no~~. After this experience, all of us were so scared with free breads in Italy. Even we asked about the breads one time! Andreas ordered Lasagna, but he said ” My food was like frozen food, it is cold inside?!” That was very bad luck from the beginning of the trip…

Anyway, we had some energies to walk around the city!

Our first stop was Duomo! It was just gorgeous church. It took for 500 years to built, wow wow. We wanted to go up to the church, but it was closed already…another bad luck.

There was Galleria Vittorio Emanuele next to Duomo. It was just a shopping mall where built in 1867. There was Prada, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and so on Macdonald’s was also there, hahaha. It was fun for window shopping! I must come back after I become rich

Then, we went to Bar Magenta inside of Sempione Park. One of Mr.Sugaro’s friend suggested to go there, because he enjoyed at this bar. It seemed like that in Milan all of the bars have Happy hour between 6pm-9pm. You can get one drink and some snacks with 6 euros. It was quite okay. Better than Finnish foods The atmosphere was nice! Many people were enjoying drinking and talking. It was a very good night
