Last day, we finally decided to go to a museum. The museum we visited was “Schatzkammer (Imperial Treasury)”. The museum contains the Hapsburgs’ collection of jewels, crowns, and others.

After visiting museum, papa san took us a nice coffee, Mozart cafe. That restaurant was very nice inside, and foods were very nice

there were many kinds of cakes again….it was so hard to choose, hehehe

After a while, I could finally choose one I like!

It was very sad to say goodbye to them. This picture was I took from the train.

It was only short time, but we really had a good time. We thank you for everything to our parents. They gave us a lot of gifts, so carrying our stuff was very heavy, hehehe.

On September 20th, it was raining

We were supposed to visit a palace, but changed our plan to go shopping Oh~ my favorite time

After shopping, we had several bags, hehehe

This day, main activity was just shopping , shopping and shopping We got 6 pairs of shoes, autumn clothes for me and one sports jacket for Andreas Except father, everyone got something

This day was very relaxed day. Then,  we had a luncg at the same shop as last day. And, took a nap for a little while. Then, we went to see Opera!

Music was really nice BUT, we were sleeping, hihihi. Only a little bit There is one reason we were sleeping. They didn’t have any translation and it was all German…so we were trying to wake up, but….

After the Opera finished, we had a couple of drinks at the hotel bar!

We took a short trip to Vienna from 19th to 21st on September.

The purpose was to see Andreas’ parents. They came to Europe for thier vacations.

I haven’t see them for 1.5 years already

BUT, I had one deadline for my homework, and I hadn’t done with it. Yeah, I slept only 1 hour before the trip, and Andreas also helped me, even he was sick…The day we met our parents was terrible for us…lack of sleep, hihihi We were just sleepy and sleepy

First, we went to hotel to meet our parents. We stayed at HOTEL this time, not HOSTEL… I was so happy to stay there and that hotel was good location to go anywhere. Then, we had some lunch at cafe!

Then,  we went to St. Stephen’s Cathedral. Last time, we also visited to this church. This reminded us about last trip in Vienna, ya I was actually very excited about being in vienna again. Well, the city is nice and safe. Also, many things are going on all the time. Many museum and so many places are available to visit! Nice music and friendly and tranquille people! This is just my opnion, hehehe.

There was a cafe shop, Aida, in front of St. Stephen’s Cathedral. Of course, we had a coffee and cake! Andreas’ mother also likes a cake At that shop they sell many kinds of cakes, so it was hard to decide which one I should take

Then, for next day we wanted to go to Opera, so went to VOLKS OPER. Andreas and I was sure that we could fall asleep during Opera, so we did buy the middle price of tickets. The tickets were almost sold out, so we were lucky to get the ticket, yay!

We took our parents to the restaurant, Centimeter where we liked during the last trip. They have the traditional AUstrian foods!

We stayed in Salzburg for 2 nights.

Main activity

1st day

• Salzburg Cathedral
• Visit Mozart’s birthplace
• Palace of Mirabell and meet with Dwarves
• walking around Cappucine Monastery

The name “Salzburg”  means “Salt Castle”. It comes from the barges carrying salt on the Salzach river.(8C) They must be rich at that time.  The entire city was full with Mozart, for example, Mozart chocolates, Mozart statue…This city is my favorite from this trip. It is very lovely city When I was walking in the city, I always tried to imagine like, “Mozart was walking also this street. Maybe he was playing the violin here…and so on”

By train, it took to get there around 3 hours. So we needed to have some supplements

First place was Salzburg cathedral. The first Dom was recorded in 774 by Romans. But, it was damaged during WWII, so it looked new to me.

Next visit was Palace of Mirabell. This palace was built for prince’s lovers. This palace was located just in front of the Fortress. Anytime, they could see each other, even it was far away. Romantic story, right? But, he spent a lot of money to build this palace for his lovers, hehehe. The palace had three parts, a palace, garden with flowers, and the Dwarves garden.

They organize the concert as well, if it might be nice to join the concert here. Mirror room was the place for concert. We chosed the concert in Fotress=)

Next is  Morzart’s birthplace. The family lived in this house from 1747-1773. W.A. Mozart was born on 27 January 1756 in this house. The house is now a museum devoted to Mozart and his family, with interesting memorabilia (such as mini violins which Morzart used during childhood) and letters.

Let’s move on the foods in Salzburg I still remember that beers were very tasty. Usually, i don’t like to drink beers, but that one was different. It was sweet and easy to drink

After we had a dinner, we went to Cappucine Monastery. Because we were so full, so we thought it was good idea to take a walk a bit. We had to go up to the hill, so not easy with a big stomach, hahaha.

Beautiful Scenery

This day, we went to Central Cemetery (Zentralfriedhof) , it is the largest and most famous cemetery in Austria.

There are many graves of famous people such as Beethoven, Schubert, Strauss and so on. The weather was very sunny and hot, so it was harmful for Andreas. Yeah, he was a bit hangover from last night…

It was not easy to find the place where we waned to go in the cemetery The map did not help us at all, so we had to walk around for a while.

I really wanted to visit to Schnbrunn palace, even though the prices were a bit expensive A long Queue to buy the tickets, sigh. Also there were several kinds of tickets with different prices. We chosed the  Sisi ticket which combined with sisi museum. It costs 22.50 euros (student 20 euros).

After that, we walked to the garden. It was very beautiful. To visit the garden seems to be for free.

Then, we went to Sisi museum. This museum was about Elisabeth of Bavaria. (JP) You can see her life style, dress, letters, and so on. The most interesting part was that she was doing exercise to keep good shape in the palace. So her waiste was very thin. The tools were still remaining. Beauty is most important for women all the time

St. Stephen’s Cathedral was our last activity for that day. During our visit, it was Mass. It was supposed to go up to the top of the church and you could go inside of the some rooms in the cathedral. But we just visited quickly.

We went back to the Hostel and had some beers at the living room with random people. Around midnight, we went out to see what’s going on at the bars. It was not forbidden to smoke inside of the bars at that time, so we had to stand many many smoke For non-smoker people, it was annoying, hehehe. Also, the bars were small and so many people were there. Yeah, all of the bars were crowdy… Crowdy and smelling smoke was my first impression. However, after a couple of hours, my eyes, nose, and throat was hurting and it did not feel anything any more…Anyway, that was their style ya? I enjoyed my night anyway. Andreas was almost dead, so I decided to go back to the hostel. I thought the taxi over there was safe, but it was not. We took a taxi close to the station, and taxi driver was a bit crazy…We were so scared and our heart was pumping so so fast!

Well, we managed to get off the street we wanted. After that, Andreas got some kebab and beer. And he ate it at the living room by himself. He left his shooes at the living room. Somehow, he wanted to his mp3 player with loud speaker! Imagine that we were sharing with 7 people included with us. I was so sleepy so I did not realized the music on. But after a while, I woke up and tried to turn off the music. Music was death metal, of course

Next day, I asked to one guy. He said that everyone was using ipod by themselves to avoid the music, hahaha. Yeah, only I did not have ipod so I suffed with death metal music, hihihihi. Anyway, everyone was drunk so they did not care, i Hope so!

 

Let’s get started a new trip, yay yay.

Our first destination was Wien in Austria on May 22nd. Our flight left around 2:50pm and it took to get there almost for 2.5 hours.

It was bad luck that the day we arrived was a National Holiday… Everything was closed except Kebab shops and some coffee shops. After checked in the hostel, we decided to walk through the main street, at least. It was so silent and looked like ghost town BUT the movie theather was open and it was close from our hostel. Indiana jones 4 just started on that day, yay yay! Well, we had nothing to do in the city so it was time to go to cinema to watch “Indiana jones4″ We were so excited about the movie, but…..Andreas falled asleep, hahahaha. After the movie, I teased him so much like singing the main song of Indiana jones for him, hahahaha He got so upset by himself!

Hostel
Our hotel sucked. The prices were around 25 euros for mixed doom.
The room was so small and humid from other person. No AC. The toilets and shower room were not clean at all. Yeah,

Public transportation. You need to buy the tickets in advance. But the police did not check the ticket inside of the train. I think everyone can come in the train. That means it is not so safe, so be careful in the metoro and bus. One of the girl who I met in the hostel, someone stole her digital camera, and she did not even realized it…

There were many cafes in the city. Prices were okay. It was not instant nescafe.
