My trip starded unexpectedly, because my flight was cancelled.

Oh,no…

Both of us were strangely relaxed with that issue.

After one hour, we got a new ticket to go to Shnghai via Hong Kong It was almost 10 hours to get there. During my transit, I bought a magnet and a postcard which I am collecting from the place I visit. Now I have Hong kong collection. Then, I took Dragonair to go to Shanghai. Their meal was better than Finnair, I think. It was only 2.5 hours flight.

I found the Japanese fashion magazines here, so I bought two of them!!I was So happy

Finally….we arrived in Shanghai.

We took a taxi to go to our Hotel, Holiday inn Shanghai Downtown. We were so sleepy on the way, and falling asleep I was scared about taking a nap in the taxi, because I was not sure how safe this city is so…We tried not fall asleep, like hitting each other and pinching myself

This hotel was very good location and nice service after all We had a very good time.

Our first visit was a big shopping street, Nanjing Road. There are over 600 businesses.

We just took a walk and had dinner there. BUT, when we orded the dishes, it was a trouble to tell the lady. Also, we noticed that there was no queueing system, and everyone was cutting in line…I was not used to doing that, so it was so difficult to reach my turn,hihihi.

After we ordered, we thought our dishes would come soon…BUT for some reason, they never came. Andreas got three bottles of beer to wait for, and after one hour…Our dishes came at last

We kind of managed to survive our first day in Shanghai It was funny and strange at the same time.

My first trip to asian counrty is starting.

My destination is Shanghai in China! I am very excited about the trip and escaping from the cold place. Also, I can eat nice foods there, hihihi.

Here is my diary about August 11 and 12th.

Since we took a looong flight from Helsinki, our first day was just sleeping like a bear or Tororo. I remember that even the housekeeping lady was coming inside, we did not wake up,hihihi. It was almost 15pm Of course, we got so hungry, so we went out to the small town ,”Laie”.

There was some restraunt and market. Our first dinner was Chinese foods. It was quite big and heavy. I was forgetting about the fact that American foods is very big portion and heavy. The taste and price was decent. It was all right. Anyway, we were eating like hunger I did not care abour the taste. I just cared about the mount!

That was about it on the first day in Hawaii.

On August 12th, there is a Dole plantation where is a pineapple field. We took a bus from Turtle bay resort to the Dole plantation. The bus driver was Very friendly, and he was talking to us a lot. Also, he gave us some chewing-gum! I felt very strange, because the driver in Finland is very unfriendly, and never talked to me…In Japan, the bus driver sometimes talk and chat with the people as well. After 40 minutes, I got noticed that the smell of air was so sweat like candy You can small so sweat after you get off the bus immediately! It was nice.

Also, a field of grand is reddish, because of the vocanic mountains around. The view was so cute around the plantation!!

First, we got in the Pineapple Express that went around the field for 20 minutes. I never seen like that many Pineapple were growing in the field.

Then, we took a tour of Plantation Garden. There were so many flowers for my first time to see. My favorite flowers was Hibiscus. In this garden, there were pink, red, yellow, and white Hibiscus. It was very pretty

Finally, we tasted Pineapple soft-cream and juice at Dole Plantation OMG, it was yammy My impression of Hawaiian foods…Of course, it’s Great From the second day, I was beginning to like Hawaii so much.

Then, there is another tourist place is called North Shore. I think the place is famous for surfers. We went shopping and had a lunch there. I tasted the Hawaiian style of pork dishes. It was very similar with some kind of Japanese foods.

The weather was very nice at that time. But the Harricane was coming to Hawaiian islands. For that reason, we decided to have fun as much as possible before on Wednesday. According to the forecast, that week of Wednesday would be the worst day so…

You know, in Hawaii everyone is wearing the Hawaiian shirt.

I was busy lately, so I could not have time to upload for my Hawaian trip

Now, my next trip is waiting as usual, so I will try to finish up until next Friday!!

First of all, the flight was very long from Finland to Honolulu. Imagine that I had to have three tickets and it took 27 hours with transit time, Wow wow  Helsinki–>Frankfurt–>Sanfrancisco–>Honolulu

We did not take a same flight, so Andreas went first and arrived in Hawaii first as well.

My back was killing me after all…

Anyway, my diary of Hawaiian is starting now.

Now I am a student at University of Helsinki.

My first day was just normal Orientation and some introduction about our program.

Next day was tour for 4 schools where I will take a class. The building was very new and nice, except one school.

Then, yesterday I made my study plan with my instructor. You know, just by making a study plan I can get one credit! It is ready for my new school life and studies.

My first impression is that, at least my program is really nice, because I can take any minor courses from Biology, Medicine, Computer Science, and Math. That means just take whatever you want to learn, right? But my stuy plan will reamin secret hihihi. Actually, I wanted to change my study during my Bachelor time, but it was too late to swich, hehehe. Also, I wanted to graduate so I gave up. Now I have a chance to study computer science areas related with Biology! Well, I have to say ”Thank you for accepting me “  to University of Helsinki now. Also thank you for supporting me, everyone!^^
